We use worm castings instead of horse or cow dung. Same slow-release nutrients that dung-loving species need, but cleaner to work with and less contamination risk. Stable batch to batch so you can dial in your tek. This is the formula that took first place at the Denver Grower's Cup 2024.
Pair with our Multi Grain Matrix sterilized grain spawn. One 4 lb bag of grain per 5 lb bag of HB4.
Ships hydrated, sealed in Unicorn 0.2 micron filter bags. Store at room temp for up to 6 months.

I used Mountain Made Product’s HB4 substrate to grow the Albino Penis Envy that won Highest Total Active Alkaloids at the Psychedelic Cup in Denver, November ’24. I really like this substrate because it does not require casing which makes for a clean harvest with limited trimming. It’s also a very stable humidity control because of its coir to worm casting ratios. Both inputs are antimicrobial lowering the risk of contamination. I think the molasses helps excite the active alkaloids in a way that I haven’t seen before. HB4 is my go to substrate for all my grows now. If you want to know what the best cultivators are using for their substrate, the answer is HB4.
