Pressure Sterilized
Just Add Spores
3-5 Flushes Per Bag
No Equipment Needed

Five pounds of pressure-sterilized substrate and grain in one bag. Our HB4 formula runs 50/50 millet and rye pre-spawn layered with coco coir, vermiculite, gypsum, and worm castings, and other nutrients, balanced to pH 6.0-6.5. No pressure cooker. No still air box. Just inject your spores or liquid culture through the self-healing port, let it colonize, and harvest.

We batch-test every bag before it ships. The Unicorn 10T-injection, .2 micron filter patch handles gas exchange throughout colonization and fruiting. Most growers see their first flush in 6 to 12 weeks. The bag supports 3 to 5 flushes total.

If your bag arrives contaminated, or contaminates before you inoculate it we replace it. That's our contamination guarantee.

The same answers I give every grower who asks.

Why I angle the grains

I angle the grains so you can inoculate straight in with a short needle, and the mycelium spreads out from there as a sphere. It also leaves more substrate than grain in every All-in-One, which grows a stronger mushroom.

How to grow it

Your first grow, step by step

From a sealed bag to your first harvest, about two and a half to three months. No pressure cooker, no guesswork.

InoculateDay 0

1
Attach the needle
Attach the needle

Twist the sterile needle onto your syringe until it is snug. It ships ready to use, so there is no flame needed.

2
Sanitize the port
Sanitize the port

Wipe the gray injection port, and your culture's lid, with 70% iso. Let it dry.

3
Inject your culture
Inject your culture

Push the needle through the port and slowly inject your spore syringe or liquid culture into the grain.

Jamo, founder
JamoFounder tip

Your needle ships EO sterilized, so don't flame or wipe a fresh one. Wipe the bag's port and your culture lid with 70% iso, then inject opening upward so you never push rubber into the culture. Only flame a needle you are reusing.

ColonizeWeeks 1 to 6 · shake at week 3

4
Watch it colonize
Watch it colonize

White mycelium webs out through the grain. Keep it 72 to 78°F, out of direct sun, and sealed.

White is healthy. Green means contamination.

5
Shake once
Shake once

Around week 3, when the grain is part colonized, give it one good shake to spread the mycelium. Then leave it about three more weeks to fully run through the bag.

Jamo, founder
JamoFounder tip

Set it where you will see it, so you catch any contamination early, but out of the way for about three weeks. No sunlight needed, and no pitch dark either, just out of direct sun. Comfortable for you is comfortable for the mycelium. Don't soak it, and don't let it dry out.

Fruit & harvestWeeks 6 to 12

Once it has fully colonized, cut the bag along the seam and drop it into a clean gallon jug. Tape it shut so it makes its own little microclimate.

Real grow. Jamo's own gallon tek.

7
Fruit & harvest
Fruit & harvest

Give it a little fresh air each day, cap off for more, cap on for less. In about three weeks pins turn into mushrooms. Pluck before the veil opens, then fold the bag back up and go again.

First grow? A few things worth knowing

  • No gallon? Use a tent. A small countertop grow tent (AC Infinity, Vivosun) gives you more control. Dial in temperature, humidity, and airflow, and drop the temp a few degrees to kick off pinning.
  • Giving it air. Fresh air is what triggers pinning and keeps it healthy. With the gallon, crack the cap a little; in a tent, run the fan on low. A bit each day is plenty.
  • Temperature. Colonize at 72 to 78°F. Fruit a little cooler, around 60 to 75°F.
  • Humidity & water. Keep it humid while fruiting. Mist when the surface looks dry, not on a clock, with distilled or RO water.
  • Light. Indirect light is plenty. Keep it out of direct sun, which dries the cake out.
  • Health check. White mycelium is healthy. Green means contamination.
  • Keep going. Rehydrate after each harvest. Most bags give 3 to 5 flushes.

JamoFounder tip

Honestly, I just set mine on the kitchen counter and let it go. As long as it gets a little natural light and is not baking in direct sun, you are good. Comfortable for you is comfortable for the mushrooms.

What's Inside

Six ingredients. Zero guesswork.

Mushroom fruiting bodies
Substrate mix cross-section
Grain pre-spawn cross-section

The Payoff

What happens when all six ingredients work together.

3-5 Flushes Per Setup Rehydrate the cake and fruit again. One setup keeps producing for weeks.
Dung & Coir Loving Species Dung-loving and gourmet varieties grow in the same substrate. One formula, broad range.
Contamination Guarantee If your grain pre-spawn contaminates before inoculation, we replace it free. That's on us, not you.

Substrate Mix

The bulk growing medium where mycelium colonizes and fruits emerge. Our HB4 blend ships hydrated and ready to use.

Coco Coir Water retention and structure. Holds moisture evenly so mycelium never dries out.
Vermiculite Aeration and moisture buffer. Creates air pockets for healthy mycelial growth.
Gypsum Calcium and sulfur. Prevents substrate clumping and adds essential minerals.
Worm Castings We use these instead of manure. Same slow-release nutrients, zero smell, lower contam risk.

Grain Pre-Spawn

The colonized grain that carries mycelium into the substrate. We blend two grains 50/50 for a reason.

Millet Small grains mean more inoculation points. Fast colonizer that gets the network started quickly. Montana-sourced.
Rye Berries Nutrient-dense with high starch content. Holds moisture longer for sustained mycelial growth. Colorado-sourced.

Common Questions

Before you buy.

What species can I grow with this bag?

Dung and coir loving species. Our worm casting blend provides the nutrient profile these species thrive on — built for supplemented, enriched substrates. Not intended for hardwood-loving gourmets like oyster, lion's mane, or shiitake.

How long from inoculation to first harvest?

6-12 weeks total. 3-6 weeks for grain colonization, then 2-3 weeks for fruiting conditions to produce pins. Temperature and strain both affect speed.

What if my bag gets contaminated?

If your bag arrives contaminated or fails to colonize due to a manufacturing defect, we replace it at no cost. Email us with your order number and a photo, and we'll get a new bag shipped within 48 hours. Read our full contamination guarantee.

Do I need any equipment to get started?

Just a spore syringe or liquid culture. No pressure cooker, no still air box, no laminar flow hood. Inject through the port and you're done.

How many flushes can I expect?

Most growers pull 3-5 flushes. Each flush produces dense, vigorous fruit bodies. Rehydrate the cake between flushes and keep humidity up for the best results.

What temperature does my grow space need to be?

72-78F during colonization, 60-75F during fruiting. A closet shelf or spare room works. No climate-controlled setup needed.

Want the layers separately?

Same formula. More control.

Same competition-proven ingredients, broken out for growers who want to dial it in.

Reliable and High-Yielding

Third flush slightly smaller but overall fantastic yields! Ended up with almost 2 ounces dried. Highly recommended.

Top Performance Every Time

Hands down the best bag I’ve used. Colonization was impressively rapid thanks to their premium grain mix. I could see healthy, vigorous mycelium growth within a week. Even with some humidity fluctuations I got strong yields over multiple flushes. Definitely my go-to from now on.

Versatile and Productive

Tried a bunch of setups before, and this bag is one of the best for testing different species. Great performance and versatile substrate that supported excellent flushes. Only minor issue was that later flushes took a bit longer, but overall a really solid product.

Ideal for Indoor Growing

I grow indoors so cleanliness and no smell were critical. This bag delivered beautifully. Easy colonization with the grains and the HB4 substrate worked flawlessly for my dung-loving mushrooms. It’s designed well for indoor growers who need clean, reliable performance.

Consistent and Convenient

Bought one bag to test out and it truly lived up to the multiple flush promise. The first flush was excellent and subsequent flushes kept coming consistently, although slightly smaller each round which seems normal. Love the convenience and clean design. Already ordered more bags.
